5 Ways to Live Happy and Die Happy!
Go Places! |
It's Time to Face the Facts
No matter what you do, no matter how hard you try, the years will sneak up on you. Yes, you're getting older, my friend. In fact, you're aging this very moment. And one day you will die.
It's inevitable, so you might as well figure out a coping strategy. You should figure out a way to live happy so you can die with a big smile on your face.
Here are five things to consider.
It's inevitable, so you might as well figure out a coping strategy. You should figure out a way to live happy so you can die with a big smile on your face.
Here are five things to consider.
1. Don't give up on living just because you're "old"
Don't sit around the house because that's what “old people" do. Consider this live happy list for a woman (or a man) of a certain age? :- Do something fun.
- Do something crazy
- Do anything!
- Travel
- Misbehave
- Ignore negative influences
- Enjoy every minute of your life!
2. Accept that aging is happening now
Stop fighting the process of getting older. It's a losing battle.
That doesn't mean you shouldn't fight aging with the latest de-wrinkling miracle cream or one of those blue pill that helps guys uh..., you know. (There's even a sex-me-up pill for women if you feel so inclined.)
If chemical intervention makes you look and feel happier, just do it.
If chemical intervention makes you look and feel happier, just do it.
But remember, whatever you do, it won't change a thing. You're getting older, but again, that's a better option than dying. So accept it and do it gracefully....and be happy!
3. Get up and get going!
Sail away on a cruise ship |
If you never went on that cruise you planned 30 years ago, do it.
If you meant to work out at the neighborhood gym but never got around to it, buy a gym membership now.

If you wanted to go on a romantic trip to France, start packing. As you age and retire, time may be the one thing you have in abundance, so use every minute of it.
If you missed out on all those things you intended to do in your 20s, 30s or even your 40s, stop whining. Go do them now.
4. Spend your time with people you love
Have you been playing golf with grumpy old Gus for the past 20 years? Maybe you've belonged to a women's club with those old snooty women you outgrew years ago.
Tell Gus goodbye. Quit that boring club.
Find something you'd really rather do and people you'd really rather be. (Perhaps that somebody is you.)
Spend time with the kids and grandkids. Visit an old friend or an old flame. Spend time with someone you love as long as it makes you happy.
5. Just Do It!

There's always a war going on somewhere. The economy always slows down. You make money. You lose money. You win some. You lose some.
You can't control any of that stuff, so why not live a happy life so you can die happy.
Just do it!
